It was time to get another class set and going, but this one would be a lot more relaxed. A Home Ec class where she could give the students some lessons in cooking, taking care of the home and even keeping an eye out for things that would help them manage a budget, it was much much more simple than her Sex Ed class. That one would prove to be interesting, but right now that really didn't have any impact on this class. ...Save for the fact that it was rather class by and she taught both classes. It made it easy for her to get around and to make sure that she didn't have to worry too much about not making it to the next class. After all it would look terrible to people if she couldn't if juggle two classes that were this close to each other. Then again she was a rather...Rookie teacher when it all came down to it. But that's all that could really be said about it. She was new to all of this, and she would need to get the experience first hand. Not that she really minded that, and of course there was the student teaching she did to fall back on. Upon getting to the classroom she opened the door and then she made sure that everything was in order and then went over to her desk, getting everything set up there and then like in her other class she went to the board, writing down a few things on it and then she'd go back to her own desk and this time she would sit in the chair there and let out a soft sigh. once again, and even more so with this class her mind roamed to her parents. Or rather, what used to be her parents, as they sort of disowned her. That...Was kinda hard to deal with because it meant she was on her own. Ha, a person on their own teaching a class about home. It was a little funny, at least to her it was. Then again her sense of humor was a little blurred when compared to most people. She knew she was early to the room and thus she had a bit of time to herself, and thus she just leaned back in her chair and enjoyed the silence, enjoyed the peace that was there. As it was something that she really didn't take the time to enjoy, and it was helping banish the things in her mind. Though slowly the footsteps of something coming to the room broke that silence, and that caused her to look over toward the door for a moment and then she looked the board over to make sure she put everything up there that she needed to for the moment. The basic information, her name, and little things like that. So yes everything checked out there. So she would just stay where she was and once the student, or rather what she assumed to be a student entered the room she would smile at them a little bit and then greet them as per usual. "Welcome to Home Ec. I'll be your teacher. Sit where ever you'd like and if you have any questions I ask that you hold them until everyone is here so that we can get them all answered at once. My name is Selena, by the way. So now all we need to do is wait for the others to arrive." She would then nod her head a bit and go back to leaning in the chair. She wasn't really sure what all else to do at the moment so she would simply sit and wait for the students to arrive. All in all everything was working out well enough. She just hoped it would continue that way. Tags: quinn birch , @laine , Reiko Miko , Xion Urbain , Elijah Keating

Am I alive or just a ghost haunted by my sorrows? fall asleep to dreams of home, where the waves are crashing. the only place i've ever known; now the future has me. i see the fire in the sky, see it all around me. i said, "the past is dead, the life i had is gone." said, "i won't give up until i see the sun."
| | Quinn knew that her first class would probably be one of the easiest that she'd signed up for. Home ec. was something she had added to her schedule on a whim and figured that if nothing else it could give her a little bit of insight on what she would have to deal with once she became a functioning adult out in society. Then again with her condition it would be hard for her to live anything close to a normal life. Though the weather was warm she found herself wearing long-sleeves that covered her hands so that she would have something to pick at while she listened and attempted to avoid any questions about how pale her skin was and how far away she moved her desk from the windows.
Quickly and by the cover of an umbrella she walked from her dorm to her classroom, hoping that the skies would become overcast sometime this week so that she would be able to walk without a second glance. Carefully she peeked her head into the classroom and bit her lip whenever the teacher said to hold the questions until everyone got there. Unfortunately the one question she had couldn't really wait. Then again it also didn't have anything to do with the lesson plans either. "Ma'am would you mind if we closed the blinds? I uhm... Have sensitive skin..." That of course was a delicate way to put the entire ordeal without going into too much detail. She wasn't the only one at this school that was less than human so she hoped that the teacher wouldn't mind. | tagged/open | x | 000 | x | home ec class |

It would seem that the first person that entered the room was a little...different than most. That was clear with the fact that they had a parasol with them even though there was little to no rain clouds. And then there was the question that the student asked. It didn't really take a genius to guess what this was all about and thus she got to her feet and walked over to the blinds of the room. Closing them all and then she would turn to look at the other female that had arrived. Her blue eyes looking the female over for a moment before she turned to look at the classroom for a moment and then look back at the female and then she pursed her lips, which were once again that blueish color, it was the only color of lipstick that she would use. She needed to try to do something to tend to the needs of her students to make sure that nothing would happen to them. That would make things easier for all of them and it would mean that everything would go more smoothly. All in all it would be best to keep this female away from the windows, that much should be...Simply enough, right?
"I understand what's going on here. Not really...Human, no? Well, feel free to sit where ever you like away from the windows. And if any of the other students complain about the blinds being closed I'll just tell them that its my doing so they don't go after you for it, mm? Either way, you have nothing to worry about. So just try to relax. Once everyone gets here I'll be starting the class up properly. so until then, feel free to take it easy." And with that, she offered a smile again and then went back to her desk, simply sitting there and watching the other female that was there. Hopefully everything would be alright. Making sure that she said all of this BEFORE any of the other students arrived she looked at the woman for a moment. "The only thing I have to ask you though is...Are you vampric? Or is there something else? I need to know so I know what I would need to do to help you should something happen. If you don't feel comfortable discussing this in the open I understand. You can write the information down and give it to me, I'll read it away from the other students." The tone of her voice was one of concern, but for the other woman and it sounded...Serene and true as well. So hopefully the other woman would see that it was all for the better and that she was trying to help them.

| | She had a relieved smile whenever the teacher agreed to close the blinds without much trouble. Hopefully she would be able to go through all of her classes with this sort of ease. Now all she would need to do is pick a seat far enough so that if someone got the bright idea of opening the blinds anyways she would be moderately protected until they could be closed or she could open up her parasol in order to shelter herself from it. "I appreciate it... My last school was... Well, not quite as receptive." That was also coupled with the fact that it was an entirely human school and they had no idea how to deal with a special cases student. Quinn was glad she'd transferred already. Taking her instructions she found herself a seat near the front and close to the door in case of an emergency.
Setting her things down on the desk she nodded and bit her lip, small fangs pushing out from their hiding places. "Yes ma'am... I was changed a couple years ago." It hadn't been something she had chosen and for the life of her she couldn't really understand why anyone would chose it. Then again some people were born as a vampire and they couldn't help it. Either way all of it was very distressing especially for a young child. "I've got packs in my bag though in case of an emergency. I haven't had an accident in a long time either." When she had been younger and unable to control herself she'd fed off of people on accident. It had been a big no-no but as she aged she learned to control her urges. | tagged/open | x | 000 | x | home ec class |

Over to this class he went. Student teacher...Again. Wait. He was the student teacher in ALL his classes. Oh well. He had the white haired woman again and once more he'd been called to the reception to pick something up.
Gonna need to ask them later if there's anything I'll need to grab tomorrow. He grumbled as he sprinted the way to his next class two boxes in his arms. Using his back to push the door open as he arrived he went and placed the boxes on the front desk.
"So we meet again. Stupid people in reception call me on short notice. Looks like you've at least got me to do the leg work for text books and stuff." He sighed and then he noticed the blinds. All of them were shut. His eyes moved from her to the only student in the room. Fair, red eyes, dark hair... He didn't want to stereotype but he was pretty sure he already knew what she was. He just... Didn't say it outloud. Instead? He offered a friendly smile and sat somewhere close to the teachers desk.
"I'm Kaden, nice to meet you." He was polite and apparently even though the blonde put it together quickly? He was fine by it. He didn't care. Hell he knew they had a half demon hermaphrodite showing up here so what was a vampire in comparison to it.

Elijah made his way to the Home Ec class not wanting to make a bad impression by being late. That and he knew that 13 would have a fit if he was late to his classes. He really didn't want to be nagged because he was missing classes. Although he was certain he could find some way to get out of the nagging. But right now he was more interested on making it to his class then the possible nagging if he was somehow late. When he made it to the room he noticed that there were three other people there. One of whom he was sure was the teacher. He also noticed that the blinds were closed though he didn't pay much attention to that.
He waved to the other students and the teacher before going over to one of the desks to sit at. "Hi I'm Eli. Nice to meet you all." He was glad that right now his ability wasn't acting up and that he had it controlled. After all reading peoples minds during class time wouldn't be a good thing.

First class. Most people would assume Home Ec to be an easy A, which in many angles it is, but Xion had her own plans. What they were, though, she'd keep it to herself for now. Not like she was going to be able to make any big decisions until she was a few years older anyway, but until then, she wanted to learn as much as she could. Best to be prepared ahead of time, right? Otherwise it'd be a rough road if one waits until the last minute.
Rounding a corner, the class room came in sight and made Xion jog the rest of the way down. Once entered, she saw the teacher and three others. So, she wasn't the last one in. That's a nice change for once. Although, she took notice that the blinds were closed. It was a nice day out, though... No, there's likely a reason. She'll just play it out for now, so the first year strolled over to the nearest seat. "I'm Xion. It's good to be here." ... Maybe that was a little too formal. Well, she'll find out how this class flows soon enough.

This class really wasn't all that big for her, she already knew a good deal about the whole...Home thing. How to cook, how to sew, how to do all of that. Then again she was cheating with it a bit because of her age and because of everything that she's done. But it really didn't matter, she'd still go to it and everything. After all she did sign up for it, though it was to watch the other students, to see how they would react to it all and how they would learn and use the information given to them. And, she was well aware that there were non-humans around the place. Well save for her, as it was rather clear to see that she was non-human. Ears on her head, nine white and fluffy tails and everything. It was easy to see that she was something more than human, but she really didn't treat people like she was better than them or anything like that. That would only cause more trouble than it was worth and she really really didn't want to fight anyone. She had seen enough death and killing in her time. Nonetheless she was walking down the hall, a sway to her hips as those tails danced around behind her.
As she was walking toward the room her ears flicked and twitched a bit, picking up on the voices. And while she heard most of what was said she wasn't really going to make a big deal about it, as it really wasn't her place and then after a few moments she slowly walked into the room and looked around at the people that were already there. Her golden eyes shifting from person to person in turn and then she would go and find a seat, though she wouldn't sit just yet she'd just simply stand there by it. "Yes yes, hello there everyone~ My name is Reiko. And as you can clearly see I'm not really human~ To be exact I'm a fox spirit demon. I do hope that you won't hold it against me or anything~ I'm mostly harmless and everything should be just fine. Either way, nice to meet you~" She'd wink a little bit and giggle softly before her tails would dance around behind her before she worked her way into her seat and then her ears would flick a little. Perhaps joining this school was a good idea. She might actually get some friends here if she played it right and made sure not to do anything too crazy.

Giving a sigh as she made her way to her first class she had to be thankful she only took three this year, she'd have plenty of time to study others though. Maybe pick up a fourth if she felt she could handle it. Slowly she edged her way in to the classroom. It looked like she was the last one here. Of course you're the last one here. Shush you. The thoughts in her head as she went and quietly sat herself down off to one side, a friendly smile played on her face but she was sure that if the switch happened during class, people would stay away or perhaps worse. "I'm Laine." She finally got out of course her eyes drifted to the dark haired sixth year who was here, a fox demon. That was bad for Laine, they'd be able to sense just what she was, so she just had to do her best not to mess up. She set her note book on the desk before her and twisted a pen rather nervously in her grip. Surely she'd be fine, if there was a full blood demon here then she should be safe. Right? Right. So with that thought in mind she relaxed a bit.

Well well. It seemed that she had some rather interesting students in this class. Though that wasn't a bad thing at all, it just meant that the school was still the same letting people of all races and the like attend. Which was a rather good thing if you were to ask her. It meant that people could get used to each other in a place that was calm and relaxed. Then again if anything DID happen she knew that the school had its own Security Team and things like that to make sure it didn't get too out of control. Hell they even had their own medical staff and most of those had gotten plenty of training to where they were more or less full on doctors on the school payroll. But that wasn't really here nor there and then she noticed that Mister Brooks had arrived as well. It was nice to see that she had his help in this class as well. After all the young man was a good student teacher, and that was something that she could use and count on. Though she really didn't want him to be the one running around all the time. After all some exercise from going from the class to get things would be good for her figure. "Ah, Mister Brooks. How nice of you to be joining me again. And really I won't have you running around that much. Though I might have you handle things for me should I need to step out if needed, alright? And don't worry~ I have faith in your ability to handle it~" After smiling a bit she would wait for everyone else to get settled and then she would move to be standing in front of the class, looking at each student in turn and then she would think for a few moments on what to do with this little set up. After all she needed to decide where she really wanted to start all of this, and she knew that she wasn't the best teacher, or the most experienced. Hell this was her first year at this and she knew that it was going to be hard, and some people might even try to take advantage of that fact. Though she really hoped they wouldn't do that because it would make things oh so difficult for herself and for them as well. "Alright. Now that everyone's here I'd like for you to pay attention. Yes, I'm the teacher, and yes I know that I'm young. I'll let you know that this is my first year of teaching here, but that doesn't mean things will be easy and it doesn't mean that you'll be able to get away with things. As this is Home Ec, I don't mind if you eat or drink in here so long as you make sure to throw your trash away. We'll be covering more than just cooking here, we'll be covering things like sewing, living on a budget, dealing with living on your own, things of that nature to prepare you for the real world after schooling is complete. And so that you know, people have burned themselves in this class. They have even sewn their fingers through and things of that nature because they were messing around and weren't paying attention to what they were doing. So I cannot stress this enough. Pay. Attention. To. Your. Work. Area. If there are accidents that are beyond your control that's perfectly fine. But I will tell you that the machines are rather potent and they can pierce through flesh and bone rather easily. ...With that out of the way if you have any questions, any at all feel free to ask them now~"Sure that might have been a little much to take in at first, but at least she was showing that she was serious about all of this, and she had seen some of those accidents when she had been a student here. Even if this is a top academy and the like there is always going to be the people that believe that they can do what they want when they want. Regardless of the dangers. She just hoped that none of the students in this class were like that. Which is why she made it known that things like that COULD happen. She just didn't want to see it happen again. The fingers and the needles thing was never a good thing to see. As there was plenty of blood to go with it. So now she'd just wait where she was to see if anyone had any questions for her. | | As the other students filed into the classroom Quinn fell silent. After all there was no reason for everyone in the room to hear what she and the teacher had been chatting about especially since it wasn't really an issue at the moment. There were other non-human students here and that meant the chance that there would be another in her class was somewhat high. She wasn't disappointed. People with cat ears and what looked to be full blown fox tails walked in, making her vampirism look somewhat tame in comparison which made her let out a small sigh of relief. She wasn't a freak here, she was just the same as everyone else. Already it was better than her old school. "It's nice to meet you, I'm Quinn." She was expecting to be able to make friends here. It had been a long time since she'd had any and the first step was to introduce herself to people.
As everyone sat down she straightened up and pulled out a notebook, expecting that notes would probably eventually need to be taken. The cooking and sewing part of this class weren't unknown to her and she knew how to handle herself around the machines. What she didn't know was how to survive in the real world. Bills and budgeting were something she'd never had to deal with on the compound and that meant that if she needed to learn it to survive in the real world it was important that she went ahead and did so. The sooner she learned it the better off she would be in the long run. "What materials do we need to bring to class?" | tagged/open | x | 000 | x | home ec class |

Well everyone had entered now and it seemed the teacher was content with having him here since he wouldn't screw around and was rather serious about doing things correctly.
"Ah, Mister Brooks. How nice of you to be joining me again. And really I won't have you running around that much. Though I might have you handle things for me should I need to step out if needed, alright? And don't worry~ I have faith in your ability to handle it~"
"I'll do my best, it shouldn't be too difficult should the need arise. So I'm quite prepared for that." May as well respond so she knew he wasn't an idiot.
"All right. Now that everyone's here I'd like for you to pay attention. Yes, I'm the teacher, and yes I know that I'm young. I'll let you know that this is my first year of teaching here, but that doesn't mean things will be easy and it doesn't mean that you'll be able to get away with things. As this is Home Ec, I don't mind if you eat or drink in here so long as you make sure to throw your trash away." That would depend on what they were eating of course.
"We'll be covering more than just cooking here, we'll be covering things like sewing, living on a budget, dealing with living on your own, things of that nature to prepare you for the real world after schooling is complete. And so that you know, people have burned themselves in this class. Kaden didn't have any questions at all in honesty. He was currently sat with a text book looking at the students of the class in turn wondering if any of them had any questions of their own.
"What materials do we need to bring to class?" Blue eyes now rested on Quinn and Kaden actually thought that was a good question. One that people probably often forgot. After all there would be some cooking some sewing and other things that they would indeed need materials for be those ingredients or a needle and thread.

Two more came in behind her. A... fox demon spirit? Again, something new, but the way her tails were actually seemed pretty. The girl behind the fox lady seemed human enough, though, which brought another bit of curiosity. Just what was the ratio of humans and non-humans at this academy? Then again, it wasn't like such information was really necessary.
Regardless, Xion listened to everything the teacher made mention of. Maybe she didn't get it all down, but she was sure the more important points could be easily remembered. Especially the part of the dangers that came with this class. She had to admit that some of the descriptions of injury played through her mind more than once. Needless to say, it was unsettling. She just had to make sure to be extra careful.
As the questions came up, Xion had one, but someone beat her to it. "What materials do we need to bring to class?" Exactly what her thoughts were. It was actually something the first year had been wondering on and off about as she was getting ready back in her dorm.

Honestly? Laine didn't have anything to ask which sort of made this part of the class a little unimportant to her. Sitting quietly she had her hands on her lap and her eyes shifted from one person to the next. Each person was unique in their own way though she did notice how short two of the girls hair was, she could never understand why girls had their hair in boyish type cuts but again each person was different. Crossing one leg over the other the blonde girl pondered on what she could possibly do to make things better. She could of course think of something to ask, well if she really put her mind to it. "Um is there anything we need to know about homework? Or coursework?" She asked finally, having come up with something without it being too late. She needed to work on her thinking skills but with more or less two of her sharing this body of hers and this mind of hers it made it incredibly difficult.

After hearing the teacher's warning Eli wondered if taking this class with his tendency to get easily distracted was a good thing though so long as no one had a lazer pointer or yarn he thought he'd be alright. Though he had learned over the years that sometimes things did go awry. He'd just have to do his best not to get distracted and stay focused when working in this classroom. When the teacher asked for questions though he didn't have anything to say. The important questions had already been asked by two of the girls in the class so he decided to stay quiet.
