Rena is a rather calm young woman for the most part. She usually likes to stick to her friends and people that are nice and decent as well. She tends to dislike getting into a word fight or anything because she will not mince words nor will she apologize for being as blunt as she feels that she needs to be to get the point across and get the little war or words over and done with. But that will only happen if she gets pushed too far. Or if someone is bothering her sister and making the younger female uncomfortable or feel bad.

On a normal basis she will be rather welcome to a calm conversation and even trying to make a new friend or two so long as she knows that they can mind their manners at the proper time. However when she's out with friends and everything she's rather lighthearted and makes sure to have the best time that she can, usually being all laughs and smiles so long as nothing serious happens to where she would need to become a more down to earth and think on her feet type of person. When in an emergency she tends to think quickly and tries to help as much as she can to make sure things are dealt with before moving on with other things.

When it comes to those that she cares about and wants to keep close, she will do what she can to keep them safe and protect them, even if it means getting herself in trouble with the people. She can fight if she needed to, but again she would prefer if she didn't need to at all. However if someone was bullying her, or her sister she would do so to defend them. She can be rather bubbly around someone that she wants to get with, however she doesn't tend to really show it that easily unless she knows that the other person is interested as well. Then she will bring it up to them, but only in private at first.

Rena was born to a man and wife that were rather normal and the like. They raised her together and tried to make sure that everything would be going well. However the so called family wouldn't last very long. It was nearly at a time that Rena can barely remember, but its still there. There was a falling out, to where the mother was no longer happy. She couldn't handle what was going on with everything, and when she was getting ready to leave she ended up getting into an accident that killed her. And while Rena was still young, she understood what happened and she knew that her mother wasn't really happy with her or her father, but she knew that her father was doing the best he could for them.

Though over the years, both her and her father came to accept what happened and they didn't hold anything against the woman, though there was something that her father would come to her time and time again to talk about. And that was the fact that he was looking to adopt another child and the fact that he really didn't seem ready to try and find another woman to be with. And it was something that they would talk about for a while, and then she agreed to it after a while, finding that she too was a little lonely and wanting to have someone else in the house with them. Though of course she was busy with school and everything when her father went to pick up the girl she was told about a couple days after her father went to the orphanage to take a look at those that needed a home to be welcome in.

It was a little odd having someone new in the house that hadn't been there just a few days before. Though she had to admit that the young girl's hair was a little odd, but she really didn't hold anything against the younger female. In fact she noticed that the younger female, Tanome, seemed to stay in their shell for the most part. This caused her to get a little sad upon seeing that, so she would continue trying to get the younger female to open up in whatever way she could. Inviting the younger girl out with her and her friends, and then as the other female started to open up she would spend her nights reading the younger girl to sleep to make sure that they would sleep soundly. It was something that became a nightly habit to be honest, though she didn't really mind that at all.

Things continued shape up and they got to be rather close rather quickly, but there were times that she didn't invite her younger sister out. Most of those times were when she went to her martial arts practices and everything like that because she didn't want her sister getting involved in stuff like that. The main reason she was doing so was to learn to defend herself, and by extension, her younger sister. She learned self defense and other things, and found that she had a knack of it as well as with electronics, and she spent time keeping herself in shape so that she could use what she learned.

She would also notice that Tanome had a certain knack with electronics and the like as well, she noticed this because she'd play video and computer games with her little sister as well as reading to her. It really came to light when Tanome fixed their TV and then later the younger female helped her with a computer. She wanted to test her theory and she said that she couldn't do it herself and then? then she watched the younger female do it all with ease to boot. And she was rather shocked and a bit proud of her little sister, and she even admitted that fact. So all in all everything was going well for the little family. That was until...

Their father said that they were going to a new school, or rather that he wanted them to go to a new school. ...It was a bit of a disturbance to her because she was happy with how things were with them at the time. But she did notice that her sister was rather happy about the idea and noticed that the younger female was saving money up for the trip and to be able to get into the school. It was after seeing all of that effort that the younger girl was placing into it all that she came around herself and decided to go to this school as well. Mainly to see how it would go over, and to watch over her younger sister and to follow her father's wishes.
