He grew up with his parents and was an only child though he did make friends with another kid on his street, the wealthiest kid on the street, when others wouldn't bother and thought the guy was a snob? Daniel actually gave the kid a chance, and from that a very good, stable, friendship formed even if it was a bit strange. By the time Daniel was seven his father had left home and divorced his mother for a new younger wife and that left Daniel with just his mother. From here the two would grow up together, would go to the same primary school together, go to the same institute together being the institute right here that they're now teaching at, decide on what career they were going to go in to together and even attend the same college, of course his friend excelled where he didn't and passed above him but they both got their degrees and have been actively teaching since Daniel was 27, his first year was pretty much hit 'n' run. While he had a little experience since he was a student teacher in some of his classes when he studied here it almost felt like he was returning home. He spent a large chunk of his life at this place and he wouldn't forget the fun times he had there. Sadly last year Daniel had a few months where he wasn't teaching and of course his friend wasn't either. Daniels mother passed away due to a blood clot and Daniel was broken up about it, his friend was the only person who was there to support him because Daniels father was absent for most of his life. Now Daniels a teacher who's only got his best friend in the whole world as an anchor despite their weird and strange antics. He still loves the guy... Possibly literally...
