PERSONALITY TRAITS

Rhome is a pretty much a laid-back guy overall. He's very social and generally enjoys talking to people and making jokes now and then to keep the atmosphere light. Parties, sports, pranks, whatever entails to having a good time, Rhome is usually one of the people in the crowd. The guy just loves having fun.

Doesn't mean he doesn't have any priorities. He may seem like the guy to shrug off his duties the first chance he gets, but he's normally serious about whatever he does. Sure, he may joke about stuff like 'it'd be a whole lost easier if blah, blah, blah', but when it counts he can fill the shoes given to him rather easily. He never says or does anything unless he is absolutely sure he can pull it off.

Drama and the like... Rhome doesn't really care for it. Sure, he'll listen if someone needs to talk, but he does his best not to get involved in other people's situations. 'People cause problems' is his mindset. The less people involved, the less of a problem it is. Of course, whether others see that as smart or selfish is up to them.

There is one thing Rhome absolutely hates, and that's making a fool of himself. He wants to always make good impressions, and although he knows that's not always possible, he wants to know that it was just because they didn't care for his views or way of life. Not because he looked and acted like an idiot. In fact it'll bother him for quiet a while if such an event comes to pass.

Rhome was the child of a wealthy family back in Sooso, his father a lead manager in a company which dealt in cybernetic parts while his mother had a job building said parts. Seemed like his life was an easy road for him, everything lined up and ready to be given to him. Rhome enjoyed it too as a kid. He didn't really have any complaints.

When he was ten, Rhome and his parents took a vacation to Eden. All was well and they enjoyed their time there, but as they were returning back, there was a sudden attack by a group of monsters. Rhome and his father made it out alive, but his mother didn't. His dad became cold and strict since then. Rhome was pushed to take lessons in self-defense and martial arts, his father telling him that he needed to be able to defend himself if more monsters tried to kill him again. Rhome didn't find that a compelling argument, but he took the classes, actually finding them to be enjoyable as he went on.

But when Rhome was seventeen, something snapped. His dad came home one day with a cybernetic arm and despite Rhome's questions, his dad didn't answer. As part by part of his father's body was replaced, Rhome did some digging, he found his dad was resigning his job and working to be a mercenary. It didn't sound real to him, so he confronted his father about it, only to be beaten in the end with the only words his father telling him being "If you really loved your mother, you would know."

He left his father's estate since then, living with a friend for a few years with Rhome's father not even bothering to look for him in all that time. One day, Rhome received word that his dad died due to the very thing he lost his mother to: A sudden monster attack. It was explained that during the attack, his father's cybernetics had a critical failure, leaving him open to be killed. Rhome, however, didn't really care. His father chose that path and that was the end of him. Even though the estate was left in his name, he put it up for auction saying he didn't want anything to do with what his father had. He wanted to live his own life.

Since then, there's not much record of what Rhome did. It's believed he was drifting from place to place until finally he reached Utopia. Of course, whether or not he is passing by or planning to stay is still a mystery to all. In fact, Rhome may even say it's a mystery to himself too.
