While this was something that was rather different for him, and rather new at the same time, he figured that it wold be for the best to give this a go. The worst that could happen is that he messed it all up and the woman would be disappointed in the male gender of the race even more. The best thing that could happen was well...Lots of things he supposed. But still, the main reason he was doing this was to try and help her adjust a bit more, as he remembered that she really didn't enjoy this place too much because it was so different from what she was used to. And while he did have her number and everything it was hard to say if she would actually go for it or not, but he had to try. At least it would show that he had the manners and the nerve to actually try something like this. Standing there for a moment he looked at his own phone and stared at the screen, the number was already entered in and all he would really needed to do was hit the button to cause it to connect with the call and everything. So...That's what he did.
Waiting for an answer or a voice mail he'd then start to talk when either had picked up. "Hello Belle, this is Leon. If you remember me I would like to invite you to dinner. Keep in mind it will be here on the campus at one of their better restaurants. I would like to try and help you adjust to the new place still...However if you are busy or not up for the idea, that is fine. I am aware that this is out of the blue and for that I do apologize. I simply thought it might help you if you got out into different areas and saw more things in this place. If you do wish to go through with this, then I'll be waiting outside of the place I want to take you. And don't worry, I'll be paying for it." And well after that? He'd wait for whatever might be coming from the other end of the phone and then he'd hangup after he knew that it was okay to do so. After all he didn't want to hang up on her too early if he could help it.
Of course he gave her a time and everything so that neither of them would be waiting around for no reason because that would really make no sense for either of them. And it seemed that she really didn't like things that had no sense or reason to doing them. Which is something that made him question if she would really go for this or not. But at least he took the first steps for it and that was something that he could at least say he did at the end of the day. Even if she didn't arrive or anything else. But really he had a feeling that it would pan out rather well. And because of that? He made sure to be there and waiting for her a few minutes before the time he said. He wanted to make sure that he was there first and everything, as it wouldn't be the gentlemen thing to do to make the lady wait for his slow ass. So he made sure that wouldn't come up and thus, there he was. In his normal clothing and everything, simply watching the other people coming and going and waiting for the female. ...Though right now he just had the thought of what his father would say to all of this. ...And that made him frown for a moment. Why did he think of his father at this time? Shaking his head he would keep a look out for Belle and that would be that.

Her cell had been on silent for a while now, relaxing in her dorm room she was flipping through pages of a book rather content to just relax in her room. She was starting to enjoy the peace and quiet. That was something that her father most likely wouldn't be happy about. Then again what would he care? She hadn't heard a word from him since she arrived here. When she'd actually finished her reading she headed out in to the lounge and saw her cell flashing. She went over to her phone and picked it up then she went to her voice mail. Who in the world would bother to leave her a message?
"Hello Belle, this is Leon." She froze. What? He actually called and she wasn't there to answer the phone.
"If you remember me I would like to invite you to dinner." She arched a brow. Why would he do that? She didn't quite understand why.
"Keep in mind it will be here on the campus at one of their better restaurants. I would like to try and help you adjust to the new place still..." She blinked and oddly she found herself sat on the edge of her seat as she listened.
"However if you are busy or not up for the idea, that is fine."
"I'M NOT BU-" She forgot it was a recorded message for a moment.
"I am aware that this is out of the blue and for that I do apologize. I simply thought it might help you if you got out into different areas and saw more things in this place. If you do wish to go through with this, then I'll be waiting outside of the place I want to take you. And don't worry, I'll be paying for it." She took a moment to get the time and place down on a piece of paper, scrawled out so quickly before she looked at the clock.
"Crap." She rushed to get her little animals in their cage before she rushed off to go and change her dress. She took a shower first, then she picked out a black dress that actually hung down to just above her knees. A pair of black stockings, a gold bracelet, with matching necklace and ear rings. A pair of boots and her hair was actually styled to be soft waves. She didn't wear any make up though as she didn't need it.
Off she went out the door with a bag over her shoulder and a wallet inside with extra cash should she need it and then she made her way to where he was waiting. Of course when she showed up she arched a single brow at him.
"People might get the wrong idea with you being so generous to someone like me... Though... Thank you for doing this... It's a little different to go out for a meal with someone I can genuinely consider a friend." She was genuine, sincere, she did consider him a friend though it was a little odd to be asked to dinner on such short notice. Usually reservations were made and the like and so what if it was just on campus, she'd still dress accordingly regardless.

Truth be told this was rather outside of his comfort zone, but at the same point the woman that he asked out was placed into an area that was nothing like her own comfort zone, she probably didn't even have such a thing anymore at this time and for that he was a little...Moved to try and help her adjust as best as he could, but perhaps there was more to it than that. ...No there was more to it than that, but he wasn't sure what to make of it right now or what to do with it all. In fact he wasn't even sure if he would know how to go about it all properly when the time came to say something about it. After all, its not as if he had been out on many dates before, or even really had a serious relationship, but that really didn't matter. He would try to be genuine with everything because to his knowledge that was the best way to handle all of this. But that was just it, he wasn't sure how to go about it. Well the call and everything seemed to be the right thing to do because it showed that he was serious about it and showed that he was wanting to help.
Though before his thoughts were really allowed to wander too far, he heard a certain voice that pulled him out from them and then he'd look at her for a moment. And really he wasn't really minding what he was seeing, but that was just the normal thing. She looked nice. Or would good be the better word? Either way the young woman didn't look bad at all, so that was a good thing either way. Though he slowly raised a single eyebrow at the things that she had said. People getting a wrong idea? That really didn't bother him to be perfectly honest. They could talk all they wanted, they didn't know what was going on and he really wouldn't mind if gossip would spread. There was a bit of a neutral look on his face as he was trying to find the right words for this, but again he just figured that everything would be the best if he was just honest and up front about it all. After all, it would get it all out there and the young woman would know just how he felt and thought about all that.
"This might sound strange, but let them talk. I don't mind what they say. I really don't. I know what I'm doing and I am doing it because I wish to. Because i feel it is the right thing to do and that it will make me happy that I will be able to help you and to be able to be around you." He paused for a moment or two after that and looks down to the ground for a moment and then looks back up to her to continue speaking. "Honestly...If they want to talk let them talk. Hell I would even tell them that I don't mind being near you. There is no reason not to be fine with it. Its my choice and I am more than happy with it. So there is nothing to worry about in that light, alright? Let's go and enjoy the night and the meal and the like...I am sure it will be just fine." And with that he would smile a bit, and then carefully took one of her hands, walking into the place, telling the person that he had a table on reserve for them and then when they got there? He pulled the chair out for her before going to his own and sitting down and then nodded to her a bit.
"Go ahead and order anything you like. I looked to make sure to get the place that had the ability to cook the most dishes so that you could have a large choice of things...so hopefully something catches your eye, Belle. And if there's anything you'd like to discuss or talk about, feel free. I do not mind having conversations with you. Its...Nice to be honest." He'd nod again and then look at the menu, because he wasn't really sure what he wanted to get for the meal. But he'd pick something and then he'd get a drink as well. Hopefully nothing he said came off the wrong way or too strong or anything like that. He was new to all of this, that was more than likely painfully obvious, but hell he was trying the best he could. And really that's all he could do and at least he WAS doing that. All in all even if he fell onto his face, he would take notes on what he did wrong, though he probably wouldn't try anything else for a while. But hopefully he wouldn't have to try anything with someone else, but...Who really knew what would happen.

"This might sound strange, but let them talk." She blinked, let them talk? But what if her dad found out? What would he say? Would he come and drag her away from the academy because she was falling victim to lewd behaviour?
"I don't mind what they say. I really don't. I know what I'm doing and I am doing it because I wish to. Because i feel it is the right thing to do and that it will make me happy that I will be able to help you and to be able to be around you." She arched a single brow, he wanted to be around her? He actually wanted to be around her by choice? Not because he felt like he had to do something? That was possibly one of the nicest things she'd heard for a while.
"Honestly...If they want to talk let them talk. Hell I would even tell them that I don't mind being near you." Her expression changed, from a curious frown to a rather bewildered expression.
"There is no reason not to be fine with it. Its my choice and I am more than happy with it. So there is nothing to worry about in that light, alright? Let's go and enjoy the night and the meal and the like...I am sure it will be just fine." She was so bewildered that she didn't even realized he'd taken hold of one of her hands and she actually flinched a little bit when it finally clicked that he actually ... Touched.... Her. She followed though. Without another word, she didn't say anything, he probably couldn't even hear her breathing she just stayed as quiet as she possibly could. Then he let go to get her chair for her and she slowly sat down with a light sigh. Happy that he'd stopped touching her, though she looked down at her hands fiddling with her own fingers. Nervous.
"Go ahead and order anything you like." She looked up.
"I looked to make sure to get the place that had the ability to cook the most dishes so that you could have a large choice of things...so hopefully something catches your eye, Belle. And if there's anything you'd like to discuss or talk about, feel free. I do not mind having conversations with you. Its...Nice to be honest." She frowned a little.
"I'm not entirely sure what to talk about though... Most of what I have to say is either depressing or rude... I'm hoping my classes start soon though..." She commented as she was looking at the menu though she did spot something, a light salad to start, sushi for main, and tiramisu for desert. So a mixture of normal, japanese and itallian food. So with her food picked out she smiled a little and waited for the waiter to come over.
"I'm not sure how I'll like sushi since it's got raw fish in it but I want to at least try it... I know I'll eat the other two things though... Light salad and tiramisu so it should be fine." She nodded. She was trying not to eat anything too expensive. Mostly because even if she was with him her eating habits shone through. As 'high class' as she was whenever her father actually bothered to take her out for food when she was home, he just ordered for her and it was usually something far cheaper than his own meal and half the time she didn't even like it.
At least this time she actually had a choice and the same applied for on campus, she could go and get her own food stuffs and cook for herself.
"Um so... Leon... Do you have any family in Eden? Or is it just you?" She honestly couldn't remember if he'd told her or not if he had family here or attending but none the less it was a decent question to start. Even if it was horribly evident that she was trying to relax or more kill whatever anxiety she had.

Even to someone like him, to someone that tends to be on a stable and settled emotional wavelength he could tell that something wasn't quite right here. It was like this young woman wasn't used to things like this. But then again he wasn't either, but it was more than likely for completely different reasons. It really wouldn't be wise for him to push the subject very much, even he knew that. But he was curious as to what was going on with the young woman. Still, it wasn't like this was the place to delve into all of that. So he'd pretend like he didn't notice, like everything was normal just to make sure everything was okay with her. It might not have been the best way to go about it, but it was how he was going to handle it. Then again if he were his father he'd be on the ground rolling around in pain from a leg cramp or something like that. The man always found ways to embarrass him and his younger brother. It just seemed as natural as breathing air or living. It was just something that couldn't be questioned even though he really really wanted to at times.
Closing his eyes for a moment he'd let out a sigh himself. "I don't mind if its rude or depressing...Just say whatever is on your mind, Belle. I know not what happened with you in the past, and I will not pry. Its not my place. Just know that you have someone here that will listen to what you have to say and value your opinion. It might not be much, it might even seem silly to you...But it can make a rather large difference when it all comes down to it. ...At least that's what I think of it." As he spoke, he'd look right at her and even smile a little bit. It was...Odd for him to be smiling. It was almost unknown to him, but he would try to comfort her the best he could, and if that meant smiling or something like that? He'd certainly well try it. It was probably clear that he was so new to this that it was almost painful, but he was a trooper and he would work through this like everything else that he had been through thus far in his life. After all, that's the best way to go about it. one. Step. At. A. Time.
Upon hearing her order he nodded and then looked down to the menu for a little bit and looked if over closely, then he would wave a waiter down so that they could get the orders. "I'll have a medium steak seasoned with lemon pepper and a bit of your spiciest sauce, with a side salad with ranch dressing. I'll also take an order of fries with it. And if you didn't catch her order, she'll have sushi, with a light salad and tiramisu for the dessert." It wasn't really much and he wasn't really sure what else to really get and after the orders were given he'd relax a little bit and lean back in his seat as he'd look around the place. But when she asked him about his family and the like he'd come back to focus on her and tilt his head a bit. It was an honest question. But really all he had here with him was his father and his little brother. His mother...That was something he really didn't like getting into, so he'd take in a deep breath and then speak.
"I'm here with my father and my younger brother. My younger brother hasn't signed up for the Academy yet...I am unsure if he will in the first place or not. As for my father...He's...A handful. His heart's in the right place of course, but he'a a little...Goofy as it were. Lighthearted would be a better term I suppose. He likes to embarrass me and my younger brother, but we're getting used to it. Its cause of his time as a solider that I know how to fight and I have the mannerisms that I have. ...Though I suppose that makes me a little odd myself," He'd look at her for a moment and then smile a little bit again. He knew that her father hadn't really talked to her or even tried to get in touch with her since she was here, so he really didn't ask a follow up question. In fact he just relaxed a bit and waited to see how she would react to everything. That...Was really all he could do at this point.

"I don't mind if it's rude or depressing... Just say whatever is on your mind, Belle." So he didn't mind that she was rude or depressing, that she didn't have much to talk about.
"I know not what happened with you in the past, and I will not pry. It's not my place. Just know that you have someone here that will listen to what you have to say and value your opinion. It might not be much, it might even seem silly to you...But it can make a rather large difference when it all comes down to it. ...At least that's what I think of it." She heard the words and saw him smile, slowly she looked down. A tinge of pink flooding her cheeks as she sat there.
"I'm here with my father and my younger brother." So, that was who he came with, at least he wasn't alone right? That was the main thing.
"My younger brother hasn't signed up for the Academy yet... I am unsure if he will in the first place or not. As for my father... He's... A handful. His heart's in the right place of course, but he'a a little... Goofy as it were. Lighthearted would be a better term I suppose. He likes to embarrass me and my younger brother, but we're getting used to it." She listened and she found herself smiling a little bit, at least Leons dad sounded much much nicer than hers. She doubted that his dad ever probably raised a hand to him ever.
"It's 'cause of his time as a solider that I know how to fight and I have the mannerisms that I have... Though I suppose that makes me a little odd myself," She giggled.
"Well at least you have people here with you right? Better than my dad at least... Y'know... I think I might actually like being here, at this school without my dad around... I kind of hope he doesn't come back for me at this point because seeing how people here are so..." What was the word she was looking for, she bit her lip trying to figure it out.
"Carefree... Yes... Seeing how carefree people are here, how they just live calmly, are themselves without being yelled at and worse by family... It's... Refreshing even if I didn't really like it at first because it was out of the norm for myself..." She stated as her smile vanished when she spoke of being yelled at and 'worse' and she pointedly looked away and fidgeted. She didn't like whatever memory that brought up. Taking a moment to breathe she finally smiled at him again.
"I can't remember what classes you were taking. What were they again? Are we in any together? It'd be nice if we were."
