His father ended up leaving the small family with promises to a young Creed that he would be back for him. Unfortunately though that never came to pass as his father not long after passed away in an accident. This left him with a lonely mother who decided to turn to the church in order to get answers on why these things were happening. She dragged along a toddler that instead of taking to the religion he wondered what sort of person would hate the things he created instead of loving them. It wasn't long until his mother found both god and a new man in her life. The pastor of the church took a special interest in their tiny family and six months later they were married. It only got worse from there. Rules around the house got even more strict and Creed was required to either spend his time reading the bible or going to church. At first his mother attempted homeschooling for the boy but once she realized that it was more difficult than teaching him bible verses he was put in a regular school. Other kids picked on him for being the "weird religious one" when in fact he didn't want anything to do with what his parents were doing. He soon grew to realize that there were other differences between himself and his peers. Hormones kicked in and he was confused by the fact that he was interested in males rather than females. This of course went against everything his parents had tried to teach him and against their religion. He kept it secret for as long as he could but unfortunately his mother eventually found out and he was punished. They had him locked in his room whenever he wasn't at school or church and tried to force the devil out of him through hard labor and beatings. This escalated into them sending him to a work camp disguised as a 'healing camp'. It was supposed to help cure him of his homosexuality but was nothing more than slave labor and telling kids that they were trash and going to hell. When that finally ended he realized that he wouldn't be able to take much more and he would either die by their hands or his own. Scouring the internet he found a school that was far enough away and with a vague enough prospect that he could convince his parents he was going to go there to "get better".
