It was still unnerving, stepping into such confined spaces and having so many people piled upon each other just for a chance at human alcohol, music, and companionship. There was a bit of confusion as to why they would do these things but seeing as he had a bit of free time in the evening and there was nothing else to do considering his classes had yet to start he found himself stepping into the slightly dim building.
He still wasn't quite sure that he liked the sounds that came from human radios, even if he had been listening to it for some time now and he was starting to miss the music he would have heard from home. Considering the dimness of the light he knew that there would be a faint glow from the small purple spots that dotted his body. Some of them visible and some of them not.
He'd yet to find someone else who shared the trait with him other than his own species and even then it was only the deep sea dwellers that usually carried the trait. His parents gene's must have been impressive. Sitting at the end of the bar and as far away from the artificial lights as he could he debated on just ordering a water. Then again he'd tasted the water in this land and some of it was absolutely horrible.
He wondered how some of the people here could even put it into their bodies. Then again they probably didn't have the same sense of taste that he did. They didn't taste the stale lifelessness of it and the chemicals that they poured into it to make sure it was pure just served to further pollute it. "One... Ale?"What a weird name for a type of drink. coded by electric of gangnam style

"You're real cute cut wide open"
MADE BY ★MEULK OF GS | It was a strange thing, being in a bar on campus where students most likely out numbered faculty. Still, it was the closest place for a drink and didn't seem to be too terrible of a joint. At least getting dolled up wasn't a requirement to go to a bar. For a fleeting moment going to one of the clubs was considered, but upon getting a glimpse indoors the idea was retracted. Instead here she was, making her way to the bar so one of many orders could be made.
'Maybe I should just relax and milk it tonight,'
Getting through the crowd Beatrix wondered if this would even be the sort of place she would want to be drunk in. Sure it was better than the other options, but it still seemed strange compared to places she had been before working at the institute. And she had her doubts that there were any casual lounges to attend. Her tastes were most likely the extreme minority here. No worries, she could at least get her drinks and try to have a good time.
"One White Russian please,"
Finally she had made it up to the bar to place her order. A few minutes later and a glass was set in front of her.
'Oh good, he didn't stir it for me,'
A small smile of relief was flashed before moving away from the bar. Somewhere to sit would be wonderful, but not at the counter itself. She didn't need to look like an alcoholic right off the bat. Instead she finally eyed an open chair and sought immediate refuge. Safe and sound she slowly mixed the drink up, removing the dark color off the bottom as the fluids blended. A small sip to ensure it was done right and Beatrix was in heaven. This place wasn't so bad after all. |
