| Exploration, that was what today was for, no classes, and generally people were off doing their own thing. Her sister was off with her boyfriend most likely and her friends well, they were doing their own thing so that left little Kris to do whatever she wanted on campus. Now most people thought she looked weird with her eye patch. She didn't care though, she was content, may as well lose an eye and have cybernetics than be dead right?
Besides some of the cybernetics were by choice.
Poking her head in to a bar, she slowly entered, she had tried to look normal for the most part though her dress was probably something that was a little too flashy for a normal day out. Her immediate thought was to head right for the main bar and sit there quietly until someone asked her what she wanted to drink, that was how things worked here right? Twenty minutes later she was still waiting but she didn't make too much of a fuss she actually still waited patiently for someone to ask what she wanted to drink. |

Rune sat in the corner of a bar at the school, more shadowed one cause as much as he wanted a drink, this was one of the last places he wanted to come for one. There were plenty of places he could go outside, normal bars, strip bars, hell his own club had a bar...and the good stuff from home. However for the moment, the problem was they existed outside the school grounds. He figured he had at least another two or three days till it was safe to see if his grandmother was done fixing up his sword and all. Since she decided she was going to work on all of it and wasn't going to argue after she sent him through a wall. Rather thankful that it was mostly that flimsy material they used in "modern" construction. Plasterboard or something? The wood post aside it at least had some give so it didn't hurt as much. Then again, he did tell her he'd visit when he had snuck away home last break to do some work there and also had intended to get the sword she made worked on and all. And had failed to do both...a couple months ago...and forgot to tell her that he had gotten wrapped up in things and ran out of time. Which was a really stupid thing to forget seeing as she did worry...and had a temper. Not to mention common knowledge of you do NOT piss off a dragon.
Though as he sat there occasionally taking a sip of his drink as he watched people come and go, he watched a girl with a patch over her eye and probably a little over dressed for a bar take a seat at it and wait, and wait, and wait. He glanced at the clock and it finally got to about 20 minutes and if they had been working for him, they'd be fired on the spot now. "Hey, someone that work here want to serve the person thats been sitting at the bar for near half an hour or is it self serve for free time?" He said loudly but not shouting figuring that would be enough to get someones attention. Unless they were busy in the back room with other things not really related to work. This fell under reasons he would rather not come to one on school grounds. Who even ran these things anyway?

| "Hey, someone that work here want to serve the person that's been sitting at the bar for near half an hour or is it self serve for free time?" She blinked a couple of times, looking around for the source of the voice. when she spotted the person she offered a small smile and then the barman came over and asked her what she wanted. She just asked for a vodka and orange since it was what she'd heard someone else say and she did like orange juice so it should be nice... right? Right.
He gave her the drink and she quickly slid away from the bar, making her way over to where the person who called out was. Slowly she sat across from him and she stared at him.
"Hi... Thanks for saying something... I didn't wanna be rude..." She nodded a couple of times, then she smiled at him again closing her one visible eye.
"Oh!" Her eye snapped open and she sipped at her drink, before pulling a slight face.
"That's a bit bitter.... And my name's Kris. You go to the institute right? My sister does too, she's older than I am though and she's kinda busy with her boyfriend right now. I'm a second year. What year're you in?" Sure it was assuming things but why else would someone be in an on campus bar unless they were either a. a student or b. a teacher. He certainly didn't look like a teacher that was for sure.
Then again looks weren't much to go by in this country given how many different things were living here.
"What classes are you taking?"

Rune didn't really notice the first smile as he looked to see where the bar attendant came from. Or the lack there of in which case he was fully intent on helping him self to half the bar. Well... not literally since he probably wouldn't serve half this stuff himself. Though, it would have been more about the principle anyway. After all, today would be considered one of his bad days so he really would have given no fucks about getting yelled at or arrested for "stealing". Once he saw the bartender returning he went back to his drink and the dark recesses of his mind. Running over possible plans, trying to solve problems, and figure some things out on top of just staying calm. As worked up about him his grandmother had gotten, she and he both were just as much worked up over his sister dropping off the radar. Though, he was equally concerned that if something did happen to her that his grandmother would finally snap and go after his uncle. Not a bad thing though they both knew if she did, she wouldn't show self restraint and would be in her dragon form. And that the surrounding town and people would be collateral damage amongst a hell storm of fire and ice.
Though, he was pulled from his thoughts abruptly as he heard a voice and his eyes focused on the girl from the bar now sitting across from him. "Hi... Thanks for saying something... I didn't wanna be rude..." with a pause to take a sip of her drink before "That's a bit bitter.... And my name's Kris. You go to the institute right? My sister does too, she's older than I am though and she's kinda busy with her boyfriend right now. I'm a second year. What year're you in? What classes are you taking" As much as acquaintances said he was rough around the edges at times like this he seemed to still have the "come over and talk to me" look as when he was having fun.... or he had some kind of magnetic personality.
"Rune...5th year...Athletics, supernatural studies, red zone training" he said, his tone more neutral now that his voice wasn't raised. "And considering the wait, doubt it would have been rude. If this were my place he'd be fired right now if it was a good day. Bad I'd say it's free drink time and it's on his tab till he got back, then fire him." There was no reason he should have been gone that long without telling someone to take over for him. Not that it should be fully manned by one person to begin with.
