True Angels
History and Personality will be replaced once they are fleshed out in your app and you are accepted.
Personality:
Asariel is difficult to pin down personality wise. She may seem to be melancholy and stern because she lives by self-discipline and responsibility, her responsibility is something that was thrust upon her early in her angelic life and thus she's adjusted to fit that. She's so used to it that she tends to evaluate everything and she will rarely take daring chances without weighing the advantages and disadvantages first. To the onlooker, she might seem boring, uncaring and extremely cold in her dealings with others but it is the serious drive and structured way of life that is the product of this persona.
Her self-sufficiency is often mistaken for coldness, oddly, she's not quite as cold as she often seems to be, this might be apparent just because she likes to do everything herself and she doesn't really deal well with being told what to do. If she does something herself there is no worry about something not finished or not done properly. It is all about control of her surroundings.
She seems to believe she can give structure and organize other people's lives, which she probably could because of her ability to weigh up the pros and cons of a situation, the problem is that with the way she goes about doing this people don't welcome her trying to help. Her overall cold demeanour isn't something people willingly deal with and some would probably avoid her where possible.
Asariel seems to have this sense of melancholy and necessity for structure and work because inside she feels she's unworthy and needs to continuously prove her worth, she never wanted the responsibility of an entire army of angels or even the heavens in Thilyas stead. She never has. Once she realizes that all she needs is the ability to judge her own good deeds at face value, doors will open and she will see the world in a new light, one that allows for guilt-free fun.
It may almost seem as though her most important need is security, she doesn't like not knowing what the future holds and she's actually rather worried about the constant threat of those who have fallen. This is the driving force behind her ambitious character and all other personality traits of desire to succeed. She's very concerned with her public standing and her title/prestige.
She's a loner but she also needs to feel appreciated, the problem is that she's excellent at hiding this truth and most won't even realize it or even bother with a thank you when she does something that requires her going out of her way to help them.
She's very self contained and she's known as aloof and indifferent but this is her more or less concealing herself from the world, unfortunately, even after so long she doesn't have any idea what 'emotions' truly are and most likely won't ever be able to build her own personality up due to being kept in bondage under the rule of the Goddess. She doesn't seem to understand how much stress she puts Asariel under and Asariel doesn't seem to bother telling her as it would be 'more hassle than it's worth'.
She purposely makes it difficult to get close emotionally because once she lets someone in, she does not want to let them go.
History Points:
Asariels history is full of blood and pain, she has the scars to prove it, having been around so long has allowed her to see the world at it's greatest and also... At its worst. Due to seeing things that she shouldn't at such a young age, she immediately began to close herself off from those around her. Containing herself in her own little bubble. She doesn't particularly like humans but she knows that her job is to protect these beings that have such insignificant life spans. Why? She's still unsure of even now.
For all these beings are worth, for every good deed they do, there's a bad deed and something to counter it. Sometimes more than one. They never help one another properly. They slaughter their own brethren. They're all heathens and honestly if Asariel was truly in charge as the goddess? She would have eliminated all those who aren't up to standard, who cause war over stupid things. Sure they don't need to LIKE one another but they could have the self control to not murder and slaughter each other.
That isn't their place to take lives.
No. That's Thilyas place. No one elses. Asariel doesn't know how long Thilya was around before she was born but she did always remember her. She was training her and forcing Asariel to watch the world and watch how these people were with one another. She kept her around even when she went to play with these beings. Even when they worshipped her, she would have Asariel in tow or send the young angel in her stead to deliver messages. She rose from being a servant, to being Thilyas most loyal commander.
With Thilyas absence, Asariel has been questioning where her loyalty lies. She seems to be different to what she remembers. Has Thilya lost what good was within her? She used to love the selfless, now she loathes them.
With Asariel watching, she's slowly beginning to grow disobedient and in time depending on how these people change she may even defy her 'creator'. It may even end up with a war in the heavens rather than on Gaia.
For now however, the threat of the apocalypse looms over head and she's simply attempting to keep the Shiaraue under control, this may indeed mean eliminating one or two to save millions but its a sacrifice that may need to be made. Those are her orders, though these orders seem to conflict with the hundreds of thousands of years of solitude with only herself and the highest ranking angels to converse with.
What's worse is that over the years and not having used any of her powers, she's lost her skills and abilities and now she has to relearn things from scratch. Of course, Thilya is unaware of this as of yet because she's not around and Asariel doesn't intend to tell her either. Asariel will rectify her mistake, who knows what Thilya would do to her if she found out she'd been lazy in her stead after leaving her behind to simply watch the world with no orders.

Being as old as she is Pronoia, she remembers quite a lot from before Thilya vanished, she has seen civilizations rise and fall in the blink of an eye. Has seen many die from war and has shed tears for those people. Being one of the three angels with powers of creation, she's rare and being one of the more ancient angels she's revered as a beacon of hope when it comes to the possible end. However some of her actions have been seen as questionable. Such as helping sinners become cleansed and walk in the light, forgiving those who hurt her or her kind and also doing her b est to prevent death of any kind.
She's actually had many years practicing her craft to the point where she could take a flower and turn it in to a pixie or take dirt and craft a golem or human from it. She loves her craft and her ability, she loves life and people of any shape and size, monsters, animals, plants even if it doesn't seem like it at a first glance.
For the last one thousand years up until recently, she had been kept in bindings with runes to keep her power under wraps. She committed the crime of absolving demons of their sins against angels, of accepting them and changing them in to angels so they could be saved from the chaos that would be the end and for that crime she was locked away. One year for each soul she saved. One thousand souls. Sadly a small portion of those souls were destroyed as they were never going to change their ways.
Now that she's out, she intends on saving those who's souls are damned, she intends to create more angels and right now? She intends to teach. She's quite happy with the idea of teaching people what she knows, she may even teach them how to create life of their own. She encourages couples to have children and can be very paranoid about the future but that's perfectly fine to her as well because she doesn't intend on letting everyone die and intends to keep life moving at the same pace it was before.
She likes how things are changing and she hopes that perhaps together humans and non-humans can create a much better future.
