PERSONALITY TRAITS

Requiis is a rather odd woman when it comes to many many things. She dislikes beating around the bush as it were and tends to go for the point of the matter, she'll even be like that during what some people would consider to be personal or embarrassing things. She really doesn't see the issue with doing something so long as there is a good point to it and it would get the point across. This can of course make things rather awkward for the people around her, but its just the way she is and she really doesn't see anything wrong with it. That is not to say that she can't handle secrets or certain things with care.



She understands that things like lost loved ones, lost family, or just death in general is something to handle with care and tact. She will also try to listen to the problems of other people, even if she really can't do much to help them other than listen. Though she will try to think of something to help. Even if it means making people face what was getting them down or making them awkward head on without much pause or anything like that. She honestly feels that if people can face whats troubling them then things will get better, even if she tends to push a little bit with it, which can sometimes lead to problems if she pushes too hard.  She never means ill will by it, as she isn't a bad person nor does she do things to hurt anyone, she just honestly feels its the best way to try to help.

When it comes to love and personal things, she is just as to the point as she normally is. That way she knows that the other person will know what she means and what she is doing and everything else. Of course this can lead to some trouble if the other person isn't really used to things like that. When she's on her own she tends to focus heavily on reading through rather old tomes that she has, or seems to zone out and get lost in her thoughts. She also tends to say odd things that almost sound as if she knew what was going on elsewhere, but it always comes out as maybes and perhaps and everything else, but its normally just her guessing and not really knowing, it just seems like it. 

She is also one that keeps her calm regardless of what is going on, meaning that she can thinking on her feet even if other people are losing their cool. She can apply this to making sure that people get out of things okay, though she would probably try to get in the way to let other people get out safely. She might seem distant on the surface, and it can be true in some cases, however when it comes to younger people and those that she actually cares about and loves she will show her emotions and that she is actually a kind woman...Even if she really doesn't remember a good chunk of her past.

Requiis remembers little from her past. It goes from her childhood which is more or less a void in her mind, to her later years where she remembers a few things here and there, and then it goes to another void in her mind where memories should be and then it comes to the more recent times. Because of the holes she can't really remember who she was or what she even is to be honest, but she remembers her name, and remembers her skills in magic and potions. She's aware that she's a Witch if nothing else. During one of those blank spots in her memories she summoned her familiar for the first time, which was a rather beautiful black owl with piercing silver eyes. Although all she remembers and knows is that the bird has been with her for a long time and it seems content to remain close by to her.

During this time it was shown to people around her that she wasn't quite normal, and fears of the Witches from stories started to cloud people's judgement of her, and thus they would push her away and she was usually on her own. Of course that suited her just fine because it allowed her to practice her skills, skills which she would make sure were as sharp as she could get them. It started with talking with her familiar, and then it would spread to being able to read ancient texts and speaking to other beings and creatures. From that she would learn magics from the texts and it would give her a great deal of knowledge in the magical arts. After this she would then go onto studying plants, herbs, and other things of that nature to use in magical potions and other things of the nature. However, the use for all of this? Was to help the people that shunned her, she would help heal them, give them advice and everything else, thus getting the thoughts of her being bad out of their mind.

However her curiousness would get the better of her and she tried a certain spell. She didn't get it quite right and it backfired, taking good chunks of her memory with the failed casting and leaving a large scar on her back from the energies that clashed. After she woke up from this accident, her mind was fuzzy and she roamed around a bit. That's when she heard about the Academy in Eden looking for teachers, and while her memory was shredded, she still had the knowledge of her crafts, and thus she used all the money she had on hand at the time to make it to the Academy to try her hand at teaching people. Though she met a few people and it helped her feel as if she belonged. Perhaps with enough time she'll remember her past and remember just what she is.
