There was so much space. Which was something he still wasn't quite used to after all this time. He'd spent a majority of his life living under water and in caves. Not out in the open. Not to mention the sun where he was from was far too hot for him to be out during the day and his nocturnal schedule had been changed upon moving here. It was nice to warm his fins with sunlight that didn't burn thought as much as he hated to admit it. He wished that more of his people got to feel it. Then again a lot of his people didn't get to feel anything at all past a certain age. Tucked away in a small space away from the main path he stuck his hand in the cool waters of a small pond. The water was clean at least and he splashed some of it on his face to get rid of the slightly dry feeling he had on his skin. coded by electric of gangnam style

He couldn't help but stare at the water, his face scrunched up as he watched his reflection. He was feeling a bit off today, really, and he didn't know how to explain it. So here he was, at the park, staring at this pond. It was a nice pond, really. The water was clear, and Alex could see the bottom of it easily. There was gravel or sand or something, and some grass of some sort. It might have been seaweed, though he mused that it could be pondweed because of where he was. The thought brought a grin to his face.
Suddenly, his reflection rippled. Blinking, he looked up to see some guy sitting a bit away from him. He looked older than Alex, and a bit put out, or at least that's the impression Alex got from his face. He walked over to him, a wide grin on his face as he waved, "Hey! What are you doing out here all alone? I'm Alex, nice to meet you."

He was normally more perceptive, and would have noticed that there was someone else here rather than just settling by the water and musing to himself about how much he wished that he could just sit in a pool for a few hours instead of sitting at the bottom of a pool for a few moments before someone decided to stare at him or a couple of them having a teacher check on him.
He was amphibious for condescendance sake and he liked to sit in the water more than he liked hanging around the dry air. His fins flared up and he stared at the male human. At least he assumed it was a male human. He couldn't tell with some of these creatures. "Enjoying the peace and quiet." It was too noisy for his liking around the campus and he thought that he could escape it here. Apparently not. coded by electric of gangnam style
