PERSONALITY TRAITS

Taiko is a rather forward woman when it comes to certain things. She feels that this makes things easier for her and the people that she was talking and dealing with. Because of this she can often times come off as rude without meaning to. And when it happens she tends to apologize but then she says that she won't really change the way she is because it would be pointless to change for a handful of people that can't handle someone being a little blunt. Unless there is something important for her to be speaking on she tends to be quiet unless she is already in a conversation with someone. If that is the case she'll speak with them until they cross a line or the point of the conversation has been passed over. 



There are things that will cause her to fall silent almost instantly. And that is people talking about her lack of arm and eye. About her past and the things that happened to her. Those are things that she will not readily share with anyone. Even if she feels that she can trust the person. The only person that she would tell is the person that she is with, so they know just what they were getting into. Other than that she will always try to derail the topics from that sort of thing. She doesn't like talking about it even to this day even though it happened a good while ago. If a person keeps pushing it, she will slowly get more and more pissed off with them. It is something that would cause her to get physically angry with they didn't stop. Perhaps she could get passed this with the right people helping her and her actually talking about it to people.



When it comes to love, she isn't really sure how to go about it. No one has ever really come to her about it, as they don't really feel like trying to get with her because of the lack of arm and eye. And that is another reason why she said she would only tell someone that wanted to love her about her past and the events that made her the way she is. She believes that she will never have to explain anything because there will never be someone to explain it to. However, if someone does come after her like that she'd be confused at first and not know how to deal with it.

Taiko was born to a family that was small. It was just her, her mother, and her father. After they had her they decided that one child was enough and they were happy it was a girl. Because of this she was well looked after and taught many things from an early age. The art of swordsmanship, handwriting, normal schooling things, they wanted to keep her at home to make sure nothing bad happened to her because they were in a rough neighborhood when she was growing up. But things wouldn't stay well, things would slowly start to fall apart because while her and her father were out, her mother was murdered within their home, and the killers left little bits of the woman here and there for the father to find. He didn't let her re-enter until everything was cleaned up, but the damage had been done to her father.



He slowly went mad, going out each night to kill people that were part of the group that got his wife, but he never told her where he was going. It wasn't until one night that she decided to follow him that she found out. And that's when everything changed for her. Everything became so much more difficult. When she found him, she saw that he had been slain as well, his body cut into pieces. Though in the distance there were sirens heading their way. But there was someone else still there. Someone that hit her from behind, then held her down because she was dazed, the shock of her father's body there dulled her senses, and in that moment she was unarmed...It was then that she lost quite a few things. The man that attacked her was stronger than her and held her down, raping her to get the point across, that her family should never have tried to make a life in the area they did. But it didn't end there. As he was doing this, he brought out a knife, and as she struggled to get free, the man sliced her left eye out, and when he was finished with his little "game" he used her father's blade and sliced off her right arm. That's when she passed out from the blood loss, still hearing the sirens.



When she came to, she was in the local hospital, in an intensive care unit, the doctors had brought her from the brink of death back to a somewhat healthy state though she was weak for a few days. In those days she refused to let them replace her eye or her arm, feeling that it wouldn't help her forget what happen, nor would she be able to forgive herself for letting it happen. When she was released from the hospital she devoted herself to training. Learning how to do everything with one arm, learning how to wield her blade with speed and power once again. It took her years of training by herself, in a secluded place only she knew about, but in those years she became quite potent with the weapon again, she was even stronger than she had been before, and she had adjusted fully to the missing arm and eye. But when she went back toward the cities, people would always laugh at her, make fun of her. But she just let it roll off her back. She couldn't get revenge, as the male that did everything had been killed.



Instead she made the choice to protect people, to help them to make sure nothing like what happened to her would happen to anyone else so long as she was around. Moving to Eden, she went right to the Academy to apply for a job that would allow her to protect people, and to keep fighting to keep her skills sharp. She just didn't really want to talk to people about her past. So long as they kept that a topic to other people she would get along with everyone fine. And...She was afraid of letting someone else get close, that they would be displeased because she was "damaged goods" at this point. No one wanted to get close to her because of the eye and arm, no one had shown any interest from where she had come from, but here...Here in this place where all sorts of people and beings were coming together, there might be someone that would give it a try. She just hoped that she could handle it and not become too jittery because she wouldn't know what the ever living hell to do...
