It was rather quiet here, just what Xion was looking for. A place to let her mind clear and her nerves settle. Plus, the view with all the different plants was a nice bonus. The sent of pollen was rather strong, but it didn't bother her, thankfully. That's one allergy she didn't have to deal with. Although, her mother had it... No, Xion didn't have it, so that was good enough for her.
Taking a seat, the first year closed her eyes, just listening to the sounds around her. The wind, the birds, the trees, even the grass had it's own unique sound. Maybe she should record this one day? Just to listen to it at night whenever she needed something to help her sleep. Then again, she needed a new pair of headphones and it didn't look like she was going to get another pair in the near future. Why did it matter? Well, she was in a double dorm room. Her father suggested it, saying it would help her social skills if she shared a room with someone. So having something playing might annoy whoever her roommate may be.
Opening her eyes, Xion took a quick scan at what was in front of her, finding one flower catching her interest. It was purple, eight petals, and the inside looked rather wild. "Oh, wow." She stepped forward and crouched down to get a better look. It was rather pretty... Oh, if only she could take one of them... "I wonder what kind of flower this is?" ((OOC: This be the flower she's looking at.))

when they said repent | The greenhouses were one of her favorite places to be. The smell of flowers hung heavily in the air and the fact that there was ample cover if she needed it made her feel a bit more at home. It wasn't as if she was going to need the cover. It just made her feel a little more ease. After all being a rabbit out in the open wasn't exactly something that was easy on the nerves and while she hadn't had in problems in the school before it was always a concern on her mind that something might happen. After all the motto of her village involved running away and more often than not that's all her people did.
She'd actually gone out of her way to sign up for a couple of the combat classes though. After all you could only run so far before you had to either fight or hide and sometimes there just weren't any hiding places. Her ears twitched as she heard another voice as she walked around the flowers. Curious as to who else would be wandering about Senri moved towards the source and saw a girl bending over to look at a flower. She had asked about the type of flower hadn't she? "Its a purple clematis!" All of the children in her village learned about flowers and what was edible and what could be used to bait a trap. |

"Its a purple clematis!"
Xion immediately turned her head once she heard someone. It was... a girl? With rabbit ears? They... actually looked attached to her. Granted, the first year had little to no experience with meeting people that... weren't human, but once she realized she was staring for a moment, she tore her eyes away from the ears and focused on the flower again. She just hoped she didn't come off as rude...
"A-a purple clematis?" Xion studied the look of the flower again, pinning the title to the plant. "I... can't say I've heard of such a flower before..." Wait... No, that made her sound like she was doubting her! Looking back up, Xion flailed a bit. "Oh! N-not that I'm calling you a liar! It's not that! I just don't know anything about flowers." Another blunder. "Wait! I mean, I know some things, but..."
She was losing it. She could literally feel herself losing rational thought in that moment. "... I'll just... stop talking." The first year just looked away, slightly embarrassed, feeling like if she said anything more she was gonna make a fool of herself. 'Great, Xi. First look rude, then call someone a liar, then make yourself sound dumb. You're a natural.'

when they said repent | She knew better than to get upset at someone staring at her ears. After all even though this was a school with people from all over the world that didn't mean that they'd all seen someone like her. People were going to stare and that was all there was to it. Besides if they stared that just meant that she was drawing a bit of attention to herself. Which was great... Unless the person was dangerous. This girl didn't seem very dangerous though. In fact she seemed to be kind of a mess, at least with speaking to other people. "Just relax. I was raised knowing plants."
After all not everyone received the same sort of training that her village did. Though with her cute looks the other female wouldn't exactly be out of place. Senri still found herself to be cuter but that wasn't the point here. "My name is Senri! I'm from a small village in a forest a loooong ways away." It was forbidden to tell exactly which forest and where the village was located to someone that wasn't a member or joining in their bloodlines so the description she gave would have to be enough. Hopefully the girl would be kind enough to give her name as well. |

"Just relax." Relax... Right, just relax. It was just her nerves getting to her, nothing more. Xion took a couple of deep breaths, letting herself calm down however much she could. She could have another shot at this, after all. "I was raised knowing plants." She was raised with that knowledge? That actually raised a question.
"Raised knowing?" She hesitated a moment. Should she ask? Well, it didn't seem like too personal a question... "Um... If it's okay that I ask... Who taught you?" Her timidness was showing, she was sure of it. Still, after her string of slip ups, it wasn't like she was going to gain all her composure back at once, right?
"My name is Senri! I'm from a small village in a forest a loooong ways away."
'A forest...' That sounded a lot like what she heard in story books as a little girl. "I'm Xion. I'm from... well... a small city. I can't say I know much about life in a forest, though." Xi ended off her statement with a sheepish smile. Oh, this was awkward. How exactly was she supposed to talk here? ... As if there was a guidebook for this stuff.

when they said repent | Senri wondered exactly how much information this girl was going to want. She was cute in a way that meant she would probably be welcomed into the village. Then again most of the humans that looked like that were too young to take back. But Senri wasn't really concerned with taking someone back to a village she wasn't planning on returning to. "My Ooma taught me of course! They're the ones in charge of teaching younglings about what is safe to eat and what isn't..." It hadn't really registered with her that there weren't things like Ooma's outside of her village and that not all people learned about these things at a young age.
"It's nice to meet you!" Sniffing a bit Senri started to look over the green house a bit, wondering if there was anything edible within. After all since she was already here there was no point in not getting a snack. "City? That's the kind of place where a lot of people live really close together right?" Sure there were people living close to each other in the village but from what she had heard of cities they were cramped and filled with big things. Scary things. |

"My Ooma taught me of course!" Ooma? What was-- "They're the ones in charge of teaching younglings about what is safe to eat and what isn't..." Oh... Well, that answers that. But... what is safe to 'eat'? They were talking about plants... Then again, she was talking to a girl that looked like a rabbit and lived out in a forest. There was likely going to be things said here that will confuse the first year. As if nothing hadn't been said already.
"City? That's the kind of place where a lot of people live really close together right?"
Xion's eyes drifted to the side. "Well... Yeah, but I didn't live in the actual 'city' part. More like just outside of it." But there was more to that story. Wouldn't hurt to share it. "But I didn't live there for long. Just enough to have a memory of it. My family moved a lot, thanks to my dad's business. So... I've kinda been to a lot of places." ((OOC: Sorry for the shortness.))

when they said repent | If she had been asked about her Ooma it would have caused the rabbit girl to be confused. After all she wasn't exactly sure how to explain it in terms that the first year would understand. She had no idea what there would be to compare it to since she wasn't exactly familiar with human society and how they would match up. "Oh... We don't move around much unless the village gets put into a bad situation." Sometimes a predator would find where they were hiding and it was dangerous to keep the children in one location.
After all they hadn't been trained to move through the forest yet and the best they would be able to do would be to hide. "This is my first time out of the forest!" At least for an extended amount of time. Anytime before it had just been to the edge of the forest and into a field that had flowers galore... It was a place that while it wasn't forbidden, it was advised against going. More than one of her people had gone missing when they'd ventured forward and curiosity was deemed a bad thing, a dangerous thing. |

"Oh... We don't move around much unless the village gets put into a bad situation."
Bad situation... There were a number of things going through Xion's mind at the mention of that. She doubted it was anything political. Why move if the problem was on the inside? It had to be some sort of external danger. Maybe monsters, natural disasters... Perhaps just simply being found out would be enough unless the people were invited. But of course, that was just random speculation.
"This is my first time out of the forest!"
A first time out of her home life, huh? Thinking about it like that, Xion could understand the excitement Senri was feeling. It was practically a whole new world to explore. Who wouldn't want the chance to go on a grand adventure if they could? "You sound like you're enjoying yourself," the first year said with a smile. "How do you like it so far? Not that I can show you around or anything. I'm still kinda learning my way around this place too." Great, that made her sound pathetic, even if it was the truth.
"Sorry. I'm coming off as lame right now, aren't I?"
