Wanting to do everything just like him. Wanted to be him. His brother was supposed to be the next in line to look after the family and to make sure that everything in the household was running smoothly. It fell on Desi to look after his younger brothers and sisters while everyone was away working. They lived in a traditional manner and that was the only way that Desi knew how to live. He had a happy childhood and didn't mind that it wasn't him being groomed to run the family. He would much rather just sit back and relax, playing with his brothers and sisters, keeping them entertained. His mother died while he was of a young age but for some reason it didn't affect him the way that it did all the others. He knew that she was going to a much better place where you could sit in the sun and nap all day without any worries. His father soon remarried to Rikki and they were once again a happy whole family. She only gave his father one more child before the doctors said that she couldn't safely give any more children. Desi's father didn't press the matter and finally it seemed like their family would stop growing for awhile. Snowe was beginning to get restless with life though. He was tired of being groomed for leadership and wanted something more. One day a man dressed in strange clothes came to the door. He was recruiting for some organization that his father had been supporting under the table. They took the oldest son, Snowe to join their ranks and Desi hadn't seen him since. So it had fallen on him to be groomed to be the heir. This bored him greatly but he knew it was needed. He was given a proper education instead of the slight one that his father had started to give the non-heir children and with Snowe gone it was up to him to lead the family after his father was gone. He he excelled in his schoolwork even if he spent a majority of the time taking up his old job of taking care of the children and teaching them songs and games that they could play when it rained or even when the sun shined. He found himself realizing that it would one day be his own children that he would be teaching games and songs to, playing with them and grooming one of them to become head of the family. He began to wonder if the child he chose would even want to be head of the family, or if he would want to sit and look at the clouds with his or her siblings as well. One day he had taken the children close to the woods, a bit closer than he usually did so that they could start observing nature and maybe learning what they wanted to do with their lives as free people, not ones being groomed to become leader of a household. His sister, Rima, wandered to close to the river that day. She had been trying to find some pretty water rocks so that her big brother would be proud of her and maybe give her some sweets from the jar that he kept in his room and rewarded them with whenever they did something good. They didn't realize that there had recently been an flooding take place in the river. A peaceful river had recently evolved into an even angry river and was looking for someone to take its rage out on. Rima seemed to be the perfect target for the river and soon she lost her footing and had been pulled her under. The last thing that Daisuke heard from his little sister was her screaming his name and then asking him if she did good. That day Desi vowed to never let his siblings get hurt again and watched them like a hawk. When it came time to further his education and go so far as going into the city for it he was more than a little confused. The small village he'd lived in had nowhere near the technology that even just the next few towns over had. He spend a good chunk of his first week attempting to figure out how things worked and if the toaster was going to bite him or not. He switched his major from business to education, thinking that he would better be able to help his siblings that way. Once his father found out though he refused to pay for the education any longer and Daisuke was forced to get a job. He wasn't good at much but he was able to wash dishes and do odd jobs to scrape by. He applied for scholarships and managed to stay in school long enough to get his degree. When his father died he was left in charge of keeping track of his siblings and decided to enroll them in the school that he would be teaching at so that he could not only keep an eye on them but also make sure that they got a proper education.
