No one. She searched the area, but found no one. It's true that it was getting a little late, but Nome thought for sure that there would be at least a few people on site so she could ask. Still, she walked over to the doors leading to the pool and looked through the glass, watching as the waters were slightly ripping thanks to what letter air was circulating at the time. It was a nice day out, and even at this hour it would be comfortable for a quick swim. Only she wasn't sure if it would still be open right now. Would be nice, though. She always enjoyed laying in the water, staring up into the night sky. Two of her favorite things to do being done at the same time.
Leaning in to get a better angle, The second year's foot slipped just enough to catch her off guard and caught the handle, finding it to be unlocked and the door opened. Did this mean the pool was still open? Or did someone just forget to lock it? Regardless, the smell of the pool drew her in, so she walked through and took a seat on a bench, putting down her bag as she watched the water. She had the opportunity to... No one was around, even. But what if she broke a rule? Actually, would she be breaking a rule just sitting here?
"Hmm..." She could come by tomorrow... but what if she didn't feel like swimming by then? The urge was strong now, but would it last? All she could really do in that moment was weight her options... Why couldn't someone just have been there to answer her question in the first place? |

The pool was practically calling to him as its gentle waters had been brimming and shining with life which made this all the more better. Inside of the boys locker room Raze began to change from his usual navy blue shirt and grey pants into a pair of black swimming trunks that stopped at his ankles. Stepping into the showers of the boys locker room for a moment to adjust his body for his swim, he would slowly take his hands through his crimson hair before smiling and turning off the water. Unknown to him that someone else had entered the area of the swimming pool and for the moment he would have no clue that he wasn't alone, but that issue would not bother him until he had full awareness of his surroundings.
Splash! The sound of enjoyment and the feeling of being free came into the area as he began to swim underwater for a moment before slowly coming up and sighing, the water that slowly fell from his hair as he shook it slowly and looked around. The swimming pool when no one was around had been so peaceful and tranquil without the others being here and training was so much easier than normal. Raze had continued to look around before slowly glancing towards a new figure that he had never seen before. Blinking he would swim over to the pool's edge and look at the girl with a small sense of curiosity," I wasn't aware that another person would be coming here... are you going to swim or stand there," chuckling he would sit there for a moment to see just what this girl would do.

Someone came out of the men's dressing room, immediately diving right into the pool and surprising Nome just enough to widen her eyes. Not only was there someone here after all, but they made use of the pool without any hesitation. Did they get permission? Or was the pool actually open at this hour after all? If the latter was true, she would feel kind of silly just sitting there without switching into her swimsuit.
But maybe she should ask. As she got up, so did the male coming out of the water and started looking around until their eyes met. "Hello," her soft voice called out with a smile. He seemed curious enough as he swam over and met her at the edge.
"I wasn't aware that another person would be coming here..."
He wasn't aware? So he was under the impression that no one else was here either? "I just got here a little while ago. I didn't know anyone else was here either..." ... Should she ask the question by this point? Actually, was there any need? Wouldn't him just jumping in be answer enough? Oh... Too many questions! Wait... What was the question she was going to ask again?
"Are you going to swim or stand there?"
That was the question! Tanome laughed a little to herself, feeling she just got her answer after all. "Oh, yes. I just need to change." She said nothing else as the girl turned to get her bag and then head into the women's dressing room. It was empty, but that was just fine with her. Nome claimed a spot and changed out of her clothes, setting them next to her bag as she pulled out her swimsuit, a frilly black two piece, put it on, then made her way back out in a full charge before jumping straight in.
Nome stayed underneath for a moment, swimming around until she felt the need for air then kicked herself off the floor to shoot back to the surface. Laughter escaped the second year the moment she could breath again and ran her fingers through her hair, separating some of her contrasting black and white locks. "Haha! I really needed that." |

The girl was weird but at least she did not just stand there and look at him like she was stuck in a pair of headlights or something. Raze lifted his right brow as he looked at her and listened to her respond to his first sentence although he wasn't exactly looking for an answer it was still appreciated. Now the question that he wanted answered had finally be given and seeing as she was going to swim, he smiled and went on to speak," Well you might want to hurry and get changed," shaking his head he would wonder what year she was or was she new to this school. As the pitter patter of her feet left the pool area and disappeared into the changing room he would continue to slowly swim around without a care in the world as his mind was only on the thought of swimming in this cool and refreshing water.
When the door had opened once again he would poke his head from the water and looked at the girl for a moment and observed her until she had jumped into the pool and disappeared under the water. It would have seemed that Raze wasn't the only one to enjoy swimming and especially during a time in which no other person would be here. When she reemerged from the water he would shake his head and float around the pool," The pool feels really good doesn't it? This is one of my most favorite times to actually come into the pool and swim but a another person being in here with me isn't to bad. By the way that outfit really looks good on you...compliments your hair," his eyes would remain on her for only a second as he began to look up towards the ceiling.
After a while he would look back down and float upwards to where she could fully look into his eyes before speaking," By the way i'm Raze, what's your name," he only asked because it was a little rude to be sharing a pool with someone and not know there name or maybe it was because it was rude either way? Shaking his head of the thought he would go back to slowly swimming around as he continued to speak to her.

"The pool feels really good doesn't it?" Nome hummed a pleasant response as she just let herself float in place. "This is one of my most favorite times to actually come into the pool and swim but a another person being in here with me isn't to bad."
"I thought there would be some more people. I think swimming at night is more fun than swimming during the day. Plus, there's no sunburn to worry about." Nome remembered the last time she had sunburn. It was bad... Really bad. They thought the sunscreen was strong enough, but it wasn't even close...
"By the way that outfit really looks good on you... compliments your hair,"
A light giggle escaped her. "Thank you!" As he looked back up to the ceiling, Nome went to swim around a bit. After all, it was what she planned to do to begin with. Not just wade in water. If she wanted that, she could just fill up a tub and sit in that without smelling of any chlorine. Oh right... She'd need to take a shower later... Oh well.
"By the way i'm Raze, what's your name," She stopped just in time to fully hear the intro and inquiry. She didn't see any reason not to give him her name.
"Tanome. It's nice to meet you, Raze." The girl decided to get a little closer, feeling if they were going to talk, the distance should be close enough to where they could hear each other, even if it was just the two of them there. "Hey, are you in the Swimming Team?" |

Raze would look over to Tanome for a bit before chuckling not trying to laugh at her but it tickled him to think of other people actually being here at night," No...Fortunately it has only been me in the pool at night because i find the time to come out and enjoy a nice refreshing dip and it is more peaceful during this time. As for the sunburn...i think you are right about that," his backwards smile or rather from the angle of which he was smiling at would show that he was enjoying her company for the moment. After his comment he would go silent and simply continue to float around the pool simply enjoying the cool water around his body until hearing her name.
After inquiring her name he would chuckle," Nice name you got there..so what year are you," curious to see if she was indeed a new student or maybe someone who had already attended here he would wait for his answer to come. When asked if he was on the swimming team he would look over to her with a raised brow before answering," Yes...Yes i am on the swimming team actually," his answer came slowly as he continued to look at her.

"Nice name you got there.." That alone got her to smile a little bigger. "So what year are you,"
"Second," she answered rather quickly. "I enrolled as a second year since I'm seventeen. Dad thought it would be a good idea for me to come here and learn." Why exactly that was, she wasn't sure. Tanome just knew that it was a new school with, as her dad told her, better opportunity. What that meant, she couldn't say, but she liked it here so far.
" Yes...Yes i am on the swimming team actually,"
That was the kind of answer she wanted to hear. "Oh, cool! We're on the same team then! Hey, how fast can you swim? Can you show me?" Her excitement shown in her eyes like stars. She was able to meet a team member before the first meeting! She had to know as much about them as possible before then! |

Raze nodded slowly as she revealed what year she was which he would give his own," I'm a third year myself and its good that you came here for new education. This place is actually pretty good for a lot people for various reasons," he would pause for a moment as he looked her face over for a moment before speaking again," So if you do not mind me asking, what race are you? Many students here hail from all kinds of backgrounds and things, but its interesting to meet different people," rather admittedly he had been curious as to why her hair had been two different colors but he wouldn't be too direct about it.
When Tanome mentioned she was on the swimming team it brought a small smile to his face in which he would show by chuckling lightly," I haven't met anyone else from the swimming team so its good to finally meet one of my teammates. As for how fast i can swim... i am a decent swimmer, but my speed isn't all that great," smiling he would swim to the edge of the pool before taking off to the other side, his body perfectly aligned as he paddled through the water. It wouldn't take him long to spring up from the water and push his hair backwards as he relaxed on the wall and chuckled lightly, loving the feeling of just swimming.

Tanome listened to every word the third year spoke about his skill level as a swimmer. Decent or not, by the time she saw him start swimming from one side to the other, she was impressed. Granted, he wasn't the fastest person she had seen, but as a teammate, she was certain he'd be great. "Hey, you did good! Maybe I should bring a stopwatch next time." It could be a sort of training even, comparing each other's lap times.
However, there was one question that Tanome caught that actually got her wondering herself. "So if you do not mind me asking, what race are you? Many students here hail from all kinds of backgrounds and things, but its interesting to meet different people."
"My race?" Thinking about it, when was the last time she seen her birth records? Actually, did she ever see them? "Um... human?" Nome did absolutely nothing to hide her own confusion. But she continued by explaining. "Actually, I don't know. I was adopted, and I know they are humans. Plus I don't have anything growing out of me like wings. No powers. I just thought I was human too since I didn't have all that." |

Raze slowly made his way over to Tanome before stopping near her and chuckling," I'm still trying to work on my time so i can at least be either first or second place in the events although if you did bring a stopwatch it would help me see how far i have improved since then," his smile would slowly come back as he shook his head a bit to get it back to normal only to have it go everywhere.
His brow would raise slightly once he found out that she was human, which would make her the second one he has met since being here but he didn't mind it at all. He actually chuckle for a moment before nodding his head," Well if i can be honest your hair color is mysterious and i am kind of curious as to how you do it. Is that your natural color?," he looked over it for a moment in curiosity before swimming off to think.

The second year nodded at his enthusiasm. Of course, she planned on doing the best she could, and if he was aiming high, that just gave her a challenge to keep up. A little friendly competition within the same team was always healthy... At least that's what she read about in an article. Something about striving to push each other's limits and to make a better team, or something along those lines. In fact making a friend like this could make things very interesting.
But about her hair... "Yes, it is. It's been this way since as long as I can remember." The girl pushed it all back behind her. The stark contrast of her hair apparent even more so as it moved freely in the water. "I don't do anything to it... aside from wash it with shampoo and conditioner. Oh, and trim it occasionally."
It was weird, even though this wasn't the first time her hair has been brought up. But the longer the conversation, the more awkward it made her feel. So, she attempted to change direction. "But what about you? Is, uh... Is that your natural hair color?" |
