HISTORY Okayoshi or Yoshi as she's commonly called has been through quite a bit of hardship in her life. Her ability surfaced at a very young age and her mother and father were terrified of her. Others in the village she was from were also terrified of her. By the age of 10 she was labelled a 'witch' after someone committed suicide apparently due to Yoshi messing around in their head. The people of the village didn't understand her abilities and poor Yoshi was sentenced to burn at the stake for witch craft and devilry, they believed she was invading peoples minds against their will with ill intent. Her parents at the time didn't want their child to burn at the stake even if they didn't understand what was wrong with her. So. They rushed her out of the village the night before the burning was to occur. Her father was shot down before her eyes and her mother... God bless her soul, was dragged off and accused of being a witch sympathiser. She was to be burned. They'd already lit the fires and all Okayoshi's last memories of her mother to this day are her screaming at the child to run away. To live. To never look back. The child obeyed her mother and she ran for her life. She spent a good two months wandering and when she reached the next town? She was grabbed by the authorities and whisked off to an orphanage where she would spend the next seven years of her life. Once she was almost eighteen and once the people could just get rid of her they shipped her off the Utopia because there she wouldn't be harassed for her abilities and the school to which she would be sent would hopefully help her to ignore and get rid of it, at least to help control it. She'd like to think that her mother doesn't hate her for leaving her to die, that she'd be happy that her little girl was alive and well for the most part.
